More than likely, you probably know Maria Canals-Barrera from her role on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place. Since then, she’s transitioned to another comedic role on ABC’s Cristela. Cristela, the series, is loosely based on Cristela Alonzo’s life as a comedian. Six years into law school, Cristela is on the brink of landing her first big internship at a prestigious firm. The only thing standing between her and success, seems to be her traditional Mexican-American family.

Her family isn’t too happy with her decisions and they find her lofty career aspirations as going away from family traditions. She finds herself with one foot in the old culture that she’s working to bring into the present at home and the other in the modern world that she wants to embrace in her professional career. Cristela finds the path to the American dream not as simple, but it is full of laughter. Crystal’s sister is played by Maria Canals-Barrera, who tries her best to help our Cristela. And she has a lot to deal with, including her kids her husband. If you love comedy and want to laugh, this is the show to watch!

Turquoise Gemstone Meaning

Turquoise gemstone meaning and significance varies from culture to culture. Each society or group of people gives turquoise gemstones a slightly different meaning. However, it is remarkable to notice how many of these cultures have given turquoise similar significance. Around the world, turquoise gemstone meaning is associated with healing, protection, and connection with the spirit world.

Turquoise Gemstone Meaning History

Native American cultures believed that turquoise symbolized a connection to the spirit world, and that it could bring emotional peace and steadiness.  In many other cultures, turquoise gemstone meaning is very similar. Turquoise is often protection against all kinds of illness, and it may also be a symbol of the power of heaven, the gods, or the spirit world.

For Tibetans and Chinese, turquoise represents the circle of life from birth until death because of the gemstone’s changing color over time as it is exposed to the elements. This color change represents the aging process and the way things change over time. This is a great example of turquoise gemstone meaning.

Persians believed that turquoise was a representation of the power of heaven on earth. Turquoise gemstone meaning extended into everyday activities, too, and it was thought of as a way to protect the wearer from evil influences and unnatural death.

In modern crystal medicine, turquoise gemstone meaning is incredibly powerful. Turquoise controls and heals the emotions, creating emotional balance and stability and helping to repair emotional trauma. It also promotes physical healing and recovery from illness. Turquoise is a great way for a patient using crystal medicine to keep himself healthy and balanced, no matter what troubles him.

The true turquoise gemstone meaning comes from the heart and the soul of the person using them.  Many still hold that turquoise shields the wearer from evil or supernatural forces, and they will wear turquoise jewelry because of this.  Turquoise is often a symbol of wealth and protection. It is also thought of as a way to promote healing and balance in the mind and body.
